From the edge of the Aldani Basin the party returned to Camp Vengeance, where Commander Breakbone set them to save the missing scout Lorsa Rygor. Taenae, Glade and Vogal wrote a guide to hygiene, the Book of Wellness, and Glade made the camp a sewer. Guided by Wulf Rygor, the party found the abandoned Aldani Shrine, destroyed the undead attacking Lorsa’s barricade and heard a warning that the Hungerer was coming.
Recap
Camp Vengeance
The party has just teleported by Glade’s magic from the cliffs of Kir Sabal to the edge of the Aldani Basin. On the morning of the thirtieth of Kythorn, 1492 DR, they enter Camp Vengeance and reunite with Adam, a guard.
They meet with Commander Breakbone. The task is to save the camp’s best scout, Lorsa Rygor, the wife of Wulf Rygor, who went missing near an abandoned shrine.
The sanitation crusade
Taenae, Glade and Vogal co-author the Book of Wellness, a guide on basic hygiene, wound care and “herbs to avoid.” Glade uses mold earth to create a functional sewer and drainage system, which fixes the camp’s overflowing latrines. Vogal invents a crude form of vasectomy by punching a guard.
The party hands the Book of Wellness to Sister Silas and Brother Ansel and establishes a rapport with the healers.
The Aldani Shrine
Guided by Wulf Rygor, the party locates the abandoned Aldani Shrine. They find Lorsa Rygor and two others holding a barricade against the undead. The party engages the undead attackers and destroys them.
They trap a sentient undead minion. Instead of begging, the undead laughs and warns, “The Hungerer comes…”
