The party returned from the Aldani Shrine to Camp Vengeance, told Commander Breakbone of Lorsa Rygor’s death, and realized that three weeks had passed in the outside world while they were inside the shrine. They set out for Port Nyanzaru, found a corpse in the river, broke camp in the night when Takhesis felt watched, and made the rest of the way in flight. At the Temple of Savras they were reunited with Zitembe and Inete and set Zitembe two tasks. Taenae proposed a fling to Inete, who was insulted, and Taenae left the temple alone to drink.

Recap

Return to Camp Vengeance

The party is leaving the Aldani Shrine. The Hungerer is defeated, temporarily, and is retreating to Mezro. Lorsa Rygor is dead, consumed, and Wulf Rygor is broken. The party has retrieved the items from the statues made in their likeness.

The party returns to Camp Vengeance, and Wulf Rygor comes back with them, stricken with grief. They find the camp in surprisingly better shape. Glade’s sewer system and the protocols from the “Book of Wellness” have visibly reduced the squalor and the rate of disease.

They meet with Commander Breakbone. They inform him of the bad news, Lorsa’s gruesome death and the nature of the Hungerer. The good news is that the undead threat in the immediate basin has been quelled for now.

The lost weeks

While debriefing, the party realizes a discrepancy in dates. The magic of the shrine warped time. While it felt like hours inside, three weeks have passed in the outside world. It is now roughly the fifty-ninth day of the Death Curse.

These events run from the thirtieth of Kythorn to the twenty-first of Flamerule, 1492 DR.

The journey back

The party chooses to head back to Port Nyanzaru rather than return to Kir Sabal immediately.

Before making camp, they discover a corpse floating in the river with a single, precise knife wound. During the night watch, Takhesis feels the distinct sensation of being watched. Taking no chances, the party breaks camp immediately.

The party takes off in flight and makes rapid time back to the city, to avoid whatever is hunting them. How they fly is not recorded, beyond magical means, a change of form or spells.

The Temple of Savras

The party arrives in Port Nyanzaru and heads straight for the Temple of Savras, where they are reunited with Zitembe and Inete.

The party asks Zitembe to reach out to contacts regarding “Soul Magic.” Vogal pays Zitembe to divine the location of Taban.

The private study

Taenae and Inete isolate themselves in Zitembe’s private study to share a bottle of fine wine. Taenae admits her interest in Inete but states explicitly that she is only looking for a “fling.” Inete is deeply insulted by the suggestion of a casual relationship. Feeling slighted, she quickly disengages and ends the conversation, which leaves a rift between them.

Following the rejection, Taenae leaves the temple alone and attempts to drink herself into oblivion at a nearby establishment.
