Azaka’s Mask was a Mask of the Beast that belonged to the guide Azaka Stormfang. It had been stolen and was held on Firefinger, and the party recovered it for her.12
Description
The mask was of wood, shaped in the likeness of a beast’s face.
Powers
Its wearer could cast animal friendship through the mask three times, and its power returned at dawn. It also let Azaka speak by telepathy with her tribe, from which she was away, proving her worth as a weretiger.
History
In Port Nyanzaru in Kythorn, 1492 DR, Azaka Stormfang waived her fee as the party’s guide in exchange for its promise to help her reach Firefinger and retrieve a stolen item.1 The party reached the spire on the twenty-sixth of Kythorn and began to climb it.3 On the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth it defeated the Pterafolk at the top, the mask was recovered, and Azaka’s quest was complete.2 She left the party afterward and returned to Port Nyanzaru.4
